Review: Sana Nameraka Honpo Isoflavone Soy Milk Cream

This product, AKA Sana Soy Milk Cream so you don’t have a mouthful of soybeans whenever you try to say the whole thing – is a face moisturizer that really moisturizes.

Comes in a 50g tub.

From Yesstyle, the product description reads as “Soy bean essence enriched with soy isoflavones and soy protein help boost skin’s collagen and hyaluronic acid levels to improve elasticity, moisturize skin and fight melanin. The nourishing formula is free from fragrances, colorants and mineral oil. Can be used as a sleeping mask.”

I bought this product and February and I’ve been using it daily since, so it’s lasted me a good three months of use, day and night. This product is probably up there as one of the most moisturizing products on the market – honestly, if you have extremely dry skin or just really need that hit of moisture, then this is the product for you!

There is no added fragrance to this product, so that’s great for those with sensitive, easily irritably skin – but when you really smell the jar (like stick your nose in it), it does have that product-y smell, almost a clean smell, if that makes any sense, but it is barely noticeable.

Sana is a Japanese brand, that is known for being effective and affordable – often sold at drugstores. The packaging is clean and minimal, which I love – Sana stars soybean essence as the main ingredient in their product lines, a great ingredient for reversing sun damage, increasing skin elasticity, anti-aging properties and ironing out fine lines.

What’s left of the pot after three months of use.

The texture of the product is almost buttery with its thickness, and it glides over your skin like luxurious cream. A little goes a long way with this product – just a pearl size on your finger can cover your entire face.

Once you rub it gently into your skin, it dries down quite quick, leaving your skin feeling immediately moisturized. Seriously, I cannot stop touching my skin right after I’ve put this on – it feels so very smooth and soft and bouncy – like my skin just took a big hit of moisture. My skin really loves this formula – you can feel it sinking down deep into your skin to moisturize from within, and it provides long lasting coverage for the whole day.

The Verdict

This product is a godsend if you have dry, dehydrated skin. Every since using this, the flakiness I used to get around my nose has been completely eradicated, and so I rate this a 5/5 – perfect for cold weather, the winter months, and those with parched skin.

Of course, if you don’t like thicker, heavier moisturizers, then this probably isn’t the best choice for you. But, given that this is definitely more affordable than other moisturizing products out there, and it really delivers – give it a go if you are curious!
