SHEETMASK REVIEW: Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Pomegranate

“Rivitalizing Radiance”

‘Rivitalizing Radiance’ rolls right off the tongue, doesn’t it? This Therapy Air Mask is made of a “breathable 0.2mm air sheet” is a nice, thin mask that’s soaked with essence starring pomegranate extract, which makes “skin elastic and smooth”, according to the website. I’ve heard of the great properties of pomegranate in skincare, let’s see if it lives up to the hype!

I got a good deal for these, it came in a 10-pack for $15NZD on sale!

Water, Dropylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Alcohol, Glycerin Hydroxyethyl Urea, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Butylene Glycol, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Punica Granatium Fruit Extract (2,500ppm), Arginine, Hydroxethylcellulose, Allantoin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium Edta, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristrate, Caprylic/Capric Trglyceride, Boswellia Serrata Gum, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Beta-Glucan, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Oil, Foeniculum Vulgare (Fennel) Oil, Cuppressus Sempervirens Oil, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Ceramide NP

That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? According to, known acne or irritant triggers are coloured in orange. Apart from only ONE ingredient having the possibility to irritate those of us that are acne prone (which is in itself a very low risk with a trigger warning of 1 on a scale to 10, 1 being the safest), this sheetmasks runs an otherwise clean sweep on cosdna, meaning if you have sensitive, easily irritated skin, this product is for you!

The ingredients also include green tea leaf extract and licorice root extract, which gives this sheetmask an added soothing factor which is great stuff – my favourite thing a sheetmask can do.

Directions! Apply after cleansing and toner, leave mask on for 10-20 minutes and pat on remaining essence when done!

This mask is as thin as it advertises – and is soaked in essence which is great. Despite the thinness of it, I didn’t feel like it was too fragile or that it would break while I unfolded it which is a sign of a good product! Upon opening, I would describe the scent to be like pomegranate (duh), and also a bit citus-y (there are a bunch of citrus extracts in the ingredients) but it’s quite faint and pleasant – not overpowering if you are sensitive to fragrances.

The mask itself fit my face well and didn’t slip off for the 20 minutes I left it on – it stayed put the whole time which was fantastic! But, for those of us with big lips, this mask does not cater to us at all! I had to hold up the upper lip part as the mouth hole wasn’t big enough and kept going over my cupid’s bow, which was a little irritating but oh well.

But apart from that, right after I removed the mask I patted the remaining essence on like directed and was happy to see how quickly the essence evaporated on my skin. It didn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable at all, and my skin definitely felt the deep hydration and looked less dull after removal.

The Verdict

Lately, I’m feeling that to see the best effects of a sheetmask is to wait a day after – the way I do my routine (toner + sheetmask + night routine + sleeping pack), I seal in whatever is on my face with my final sleeping pack step and so the next day I see if the essence really did the trick or not!

With this sheetmask, I definitely noticed that my skin’s texture was more elastic and bouncy in the morning, which definitely came from the pomegranate extract! This is my first time using a product starring pomegranate extract, and I can tell you now it definitely won’t be my last.

I’ll rate this a 4/5 minus a point for the small mouth hole, which wasn’t a perfect fit for my face. But this is a great sheetmask especially since I got it in a 10pack from Yesstyle for only about $15 NZD when a good sale was on – I absolutely adore value packs for sheetmasks, cause it just so expensive when you buy them separately in large quantities! This is great for the thrifty shopper – you’ll have enough to last for a couple of weeks and it does what it promises.

I highly recommend this sheetmask if you have dull, lifeless skin in need of a boost of ‘revitalizing radiance’ and hydration! This will do just the trick…

Beautiful packaging!
